How do I get from Santiago to Torres del Paine?

There is no airport inside Torres del Paine, so the journey from Santiago combines a flight with onward travel by bus or car. Your route depends on whether you fly to Puerto Natales or Punta Arenas.

Flying from Santiago to Puerto Natales

This is the most direct option when flights are available for your dates.

• Fly from Santiago to Puerto Natales.
• Take a taxi or transfer from the airport to Rodoviario Puerto Natales, the town’s bus terminal. The airport is approximately 12 kilometres from the terminal.
• Take a scheduled bus from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine. Choose Pudeto or Laguna Amarga as your destination according to your itinerary.

Flying from Santiago to Punta Arenas

If there is no suitable flight to Puerto Natales, you can fly to Punta Arenas instead.

• Fly from Santiago to Punta Arenas.
• Travel from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales by bus or rental car.
• Continue from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine by scheduled bus or car.

It is best to arrive in Puerto Natales at least one day before the start of your trek.
