Getting to & Around Torres del Paine
How do I get from Punta Arenas to Torres del Paine?
The usual public-transport route is:
- Take a bus from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales.
- Change at the Puerto Natales bus terminal.
- Take a second bus from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine.
The journey from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales normally takes approximately three to three and a half hours. Same-day connections to the park may be available, but they are suitable only when the timetable works with your accommodation and itinerary.
If your trek begins in the morning, travel to Puerto Natales the previous day. You can also rent a car in Punta Arenas and drive to the park, but you will need to consider where you leave the car during a multi-day trek.
