What food options are available in Torres del Paine?

Food options vary between campsites, but at most locations you can reserve individual meals or a meal plan together with your accommodation:

  • Breakfast: Served in the morning after your overnight stay.
  • Box lunch: A packed takeaway lunch provided in the morning after your overnight stay, ready to carry with you on the trail.
  • Dinner: An evening meal, usually served as a set menu, buffet or assisted buffet, depending on the location.
  • Full board: Dinner on your arrival day, followed by breakfast and a box lunch the next morning.
  • Half board: Dinner on your arrival day and breakfast the next morning.

At Los Perros, no prepared meals or meal plans are available for individual hikers. There is only a small minimarket selling basic groceries, and there is no à la carte food service.

At Francés, meal options depend on your accommodation type and current availability. Campsite guests may book takeaway meals, while refugio guests may be able to book regular meals served in the restaurant. Box lunch is always provided as a takeaway meal.

At most operating campsites and refugios, you will also find a basic à la carte menu. The selection varies by location and may include simple meals, snacks and drinks. Availability depends on opening hours and supplies and cannot be guaranteed, so any meals you need should be reserved in advance.
