Accommodation & Campsites

Which campsites and refugios are on the W Trek and O Circuit?

The W Trek and O Circuit use accommodation operated by two providers: Las Torres Patagonia and Vertice Patagonia.

W Trek

The W Trek can be hiked from east to west or west to east. Its main overnight locations are:

Las Torres Patagonia
  • Torres Central & Norte: Located in the eastern sector near the Welcome Center and the starting point for the Base Torres hike. Camping and indoor refugio beds are available.
  • Chileno: Located on the trail to Base Torres. Only camping is available.
  • Cuernos: Located between the eastern sector and the French Valley. It offers camping, refugio beds and private mountain cabins.
  • Francés: Located between Cuernos and Paine Grande, it is commonly used as an overnight stop before or after hiking the French Valley. Camping and indoor accommodation are available.
Vertice Patagonia
  • Paine Grande: Located near Lake Pehoé and connected to Pudeto by catamaran. Camping and refugio beds are available.
  • Grey: Located near Grey Glacier. Camping and refugio beds are available.

Additional O Circuit locations

The O Circuit includes the entire W Trek together with the additional northern section of the park. The northern section has three overnight locations that are not part of the W Trek:

  • Serón – Las Torres Patagonia: Camping only.
  • Dickson – Vertice Patagonia: Camping and refugio beds.
  • Los Perros – Vertice Patagonia: Camping only.

The O Circuit must be completed counterclockwise. After Los Perros and the John Gardner Pass, the route continues to Grey before joining the W Trek section.

There are also two additional campsites in the park: Italiano, located at the junction for the French Valley, and Paso, located between Los Perros and Grey after the John Gardner Pass. Both have been closed since COVID-19 and are not currently available for overnight stays.
