Las Torres Patagonia Policies (2025–2026 Season)

I. Confirmation

1. All reservations, modifications and cancellations must be confirmed in writing by Las Torres Patagonia and have a corresponding confirmation code.

2. Reservation confirmations will be sent within one business day for programs that include only accommodation and services from Las Torres Patagonia. For programs that include external services, the confirmation period may exceed two business days, as it depends exclusively on the response of the external provider.

3. Availability inquiries, whether in writing or by telephone, do not constitute a reservation confirmation.

4. Confirmation of programs, half-board accommodation, room with dinner and breakfast and overnight accommodation in mountain hostel, cabin or campsite at Las Torres Patagonia is made with a reservations executive following the policies of this document. Availability inquiries and reservations for campsites must be made directly on our website, with full payment due at the time of reservation (direct policy applies).

II. Payment Policy

1. Individuals

Individual guests are defined as follows.

Hotel Las Torres: up to 10 people (maximum 5 rooms).

Central Mountain Hostel and Campsites (Central, Chileno, Cuernos, Francés & Serón): up to 10 people (maximum 10 beds or maximum 5 double tents).

Mountain Hostels (Cuernos & Francés) and Cuernos Mountain Cabin: up to 6 people (maximum 6 beds).

Reservations will be considered provisional until the client confirms and prepays 20% of the total reservation within 20 business days following confirmation by the executive. The remaining amount must be paid 70 days before check-in, during which time changes to the reservation will be permitted. Reservations made less than 69 days before check-in must be paid in full within the next five business days.

2. Groups

A group is defined as follows.

Hotel Las Torres: from 11 people (from 6 rooms).

Mountain Hostels (Central) and Campsites (Central, Chileno, Cuernos, Francés & Serón): from 11 people (from 11 beds, from 6 double tents).

Mountain Hostels (Chileno, Cuernos & Francés) and Cuernos Mountain Cabins: from 7 people (from 7 beds).

Check special conditions with your reservation executive.

Las Torres Patagonia considers all members sitting for meals at the same time and at the same table, and taking the same excursions as a group.

Any reservation without prepayment will be considered provisional and subject to cancellation without prior notice by Las Torres Patagonia.

III. Cancellations

Penalties are applicable to the total amount of the reservation.

1. Individuals

  • ≥ 90 days before arrival: no penalty
  • 89 – 70 days before arrival: 20% penalty
  • 69 – 45 days before arrival: 50% penalty
  • ≤ 44 days before arrival: 100% penalty

2. Groups

Check special conditions with your reservation executive.

IV. Modifications

No modifications can be made to the reservation once it has been fully paid. Any reservation modification within the cancellation and payment periods that results in a lower value than the original quote will not be eligible for a refund. If the reservation modification results in a value higher than the original quote, the price difference must be paid immediately. Considering the above, changes to dates are not permitted once full payment has been made.

V. Children

1. Hotel Las Torres

All-Inclusive Program: Children under 5 years old stay free of charge in the all-inclusive system when sharing a bed with an adult (maximum 1 child per room). 6 to 10 years old: the special “child” rate applies exclusively to all-inclusive programs when sharing the room with at least one adult.

Half Board Rate: Children under 5 years old stay free of charge in the half board system when sharing a bed with an adult (maximum 1 child per room). Cribs can be reserved at no additional cost and are subject to availability

2. Trekking Circuits

The following policies apply only to W Circuit Express reservations, whether at a mountain hostel or campsite.

The “infant” rate applies to children under 5 years old sharing a bed/tent on a double basis. Maximum one adult per child.

The “child” rate applies to children between 6 and 12 years old sharing a two-person tent or a bed assigned in a mountain hostel.

VI. No Show

  1. Hotel Las Torres: check-in is at 3:00 pm; check-out is at 11:00 am.
  2. Mountain hostels, campsites, domes & cabins: check-in is at 3:00 pm; check-out is at 9:30 am.
  3. Guests must arrive on their check-in date from the time indicated above and before 10:00 pm on the first night of their reservation. Otherwise, we ask that you notify in advance of a special arrival time. If a guest does not show up on the date and time informed, Las Torres Patagonia reserves the right to charge 100% of the reservation without refund.

VII. Payment Terms

Reservations will be considered provisional until the customer meets the prepayment and payment conditions. Las Torres Patagonia, with the aim of encouraging domestic tourism, has differentiated rates for Chileans and foreigners. Chilean guests pay in Chilean pesos with VAT included. Foreign guests pay in dollars.

Foreign guests who are not Chilean residents may benefit from the 19% value added tax (VAT) exemption on accommodation services, provided they present their passport and original PDI immigration card upon checkin. If the guest does not comply with this requirement, they will be charged an additional amount corresponding to the 19% VAT on the reservation amount. The reservation amount is non-refundable.

Payments must be made in the agreed currency, sending a deposit receipt to a reservation executive indicating the reservation name, code and check-in date. Payments must include the reservation codes provided by your Las Torres Patagonia executive.

No refunds will be issued unless justified in accordance with the policies and terms of business established in this document.

Billing is electronic, and documents are issued at check-out.

If for any reason billing documents are required, they must be request from a sales executive.

VIII. Responsibilities

Las Torres Patagonia is not responsible for the loss of guest documents or personal belongings during their trip or stay at any of Las Torres Patagonia’s facilities, nor at the facilities or means of transportation of external service providers.

It is the guest’s responsibility to inform themselves about the destination, geographical and climatic conditions in order to determine the equipment they need to bring. Las Torres Patagonia does not issue refunds for unused services, such as entrance fees to Torres del Paine National Park, navigation tickets and transfers, among others included in our programs.

The published Las Torres Patagonia programs are not modifiable with regard to the accommodation sectors specified by each. For programs other than those priced, described and published by Las Torres Patagonia, please contact your reservations executive for a customized quote. In accordance with current local municipal regulations, Las Torres Patagonia operates groups with one guide for every six guests.

Las Torres Patagonia does not provide luggage transportation services without passengers.

Las Torres Patagonia is not responsible for refunds due to weather problems, road closures, natural phenomena, pandemics, thefts, problems with land transportation (inside and outside Torres del Paine National Park) and/or domestic and international air transportation, social or political demonstrations or other problems arising from these, personal problems, whether health-related or any other beyond the will and control of the company, which prevent arrival or access to Torres del Paine and Las Torres Patagonia facilities. In such cases, guests are advised to purchase travel insurance. Las Torres Patagonia will provide the necessary documentation to guests, so they can claim the insurance in their home country.

Any guide hired by the client who uses the accommodation offered by Las Torres Patagonia must comply with Chilean regulations, established in Legislative Decree No. 1094, Art. No. 70, which states that “Foreigners who are caught carrying out paid activities without being authorized to do so will be sanctioned with a fine of 1 to 50 living wages.” For all purposes, Las Torres Patagonia will be governed by current Chilean legal regulations, and any type of legal difficulty or dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Ordinary Courts of Justice in Chile.
