Planning a trip to Torres del Paine is exciting—but sometimes life happens. Flights get delayed, plans shift, or unexpected situations arise. If you’re wondering what to do if your trek can’t go ahead as planned, this guide will help you navigate your options.
While TorresHike doesn't set the cancellation or modification policies for accommodation providers, CONAF, or catamaran operators, we’re here to help you understand them and assist throughout the process.
Below you'll find clear, up-to-date information about cancellations and modifications with all major providers: Las Torres Patagonia, Vertice Patagonia, CONAF, and Catamaran Lago Pehoe.

General rules: What to know before you cancel or change
- Each provider (Las Torres, Vertice, CONAF, Catamaran) has its own cancellation and modification rules.
- Most bookings are non-refundable after a certain date, and certain types of modifications might not be allowed.
- Changes to bookings depend on availability and each provider’s internal policies and approval.
- TorresHike can facilitate communication but cannot override provider policies.

TorresHike Service fees
If you booked through TorresHike, your total included two additional fees: a Booking Fee and a Payment Fee.
- Booking Fee: This covers our services—including handling your reservations, communicating with providers, and assisting with cancellations or modifications. It supports our website and team, so this fee is non-refundable.
- Payment Fee: This fee is charged by our payment providers (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, or Wise) for transaction processing and is also non-refundable, as it's incurred immediately upon payment.
CONAF park entrance tickets
For full details, please check CONAF's official ticket policy.
All visitors require valid park entrance tickets to enter Torres del Paine National Park. If you book your trek through TorresHike, you can add tickets directly to your reservation.
You have two booking options:
- Book Now: We immediately purchase your ticket, making it non-refundable, non-transferable, and unchangeable (including entrance dates). CONAF’s official policy provides no refunds once purchased.
- Pre-Order: We purchase your ticket 10 days before your trek begins, allowing more flexibility. If you cancel or modify before this time, we can refund the ticket cost. After purchase, the ticket becomes non-refundable and non-transferable.
CONAF tickets are valid only for the selected entry date, with no changes or name transfers allowed. Make sure your passport and personal details are accurate when booking. If you renew your passport afterward, bring a photo or copy of the old one, as CONAF may verify this at park entry.
Catamaran Lago Pehoe
For full details, please check Catamaran Lago Pehoe's official policy.
The Catamaran connects Pudeto and Paine Grande—a crucial route for accessing the western side of the park.
If you book your accommodation through TorresHike, we recommend adding your catamaran ticket to your reservation, especially during high season when tickets sell out quickly.
Cancellations
- Cancellations made up to 72 hours before departure receive a partial refund of USD 25 per ticket.
- No refunds are provided for cancellations made within 72 hours of departure.
Modifications
- Changes to date or sailing direction can be requested up to 72 hours before departure for an administrative fee of USD 5 per ticket.
- Tickets are personal and non-transferable.
